Alexa grew up in Lewes, DE where she started dancing at the age of 6. She danced at CDDA where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop and musical theater. In addition she trained extensively at CPYB. She attended college at AMDA in NYC where she completed the conservatory dance program and fell in love with acting and musical theatre. 

 

After joining the MainStage cast on Disney’s 'Fantasy' Cruise Ship, her professional career took off, working at regional theaters, tours, Broadway, and even TV!  Alexa made her Broadway debut in ‘West Side Story' Broadway Revival (2020) playing Graziella. For a little over a year she swung on the First National Tour of Moulin Rouge! The Musical and then transferred to the Broadway Company in NY as Dance Captain. She joined the broadway company of Death Becomes Her for the last 8 months of their run and then immediately re-joined Moulin Rouge to finish out that incredible 7 year run. Other notable theatre credits include, ‘An American in Paris’ First National Tour, Sacramento Music Circus: ‘Cabaret’, ‘Nice Work if you Can Get It’, Arts Center of Coastal Carolina: ‘Anything Goes’, Singing In The Rain, MUNY: ‘Jerome Robbins Broadway’, ‘Bombshell’ In Concert (Smash), and Off Broadway: ‘Trip of Love’.

 

Film and T.V. credits include Co-Starring in ‘Partner Track’ on NETFLIX, and playing a Big Time Dancer in Disney’s ‘Better Nate Than Ever’ on Disney+ ! 

 

Aside from performing Alexa teaches dance. She teaches Musical Theatre master classes across the tristate area, and also provides private lessons in jazz, Musical theater, and ballet (all levels). Specializing in dynamics, musicality, drive and precision.

Alexa also models at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in NYC for their photography students, and was also a print model for the launch of Catherine Zeta Jones’ Athleisure line, and can be seen rocking the fall pant in a Uniqlo commerial!
